Our project at Talbot Green Retail Park in Llantrisant involved the refurbishment works to the edge of town retail development to transform the disused Comet building into four separate retail units with managers office space and facilities, for Costa Coffee, Frankie & Benny’s, Harvester and Chiquito’s.

The works involved full strip out of the existing store, four new shop entrances, internal dividing walls, new roof coverings, wall cladding, brise soleil, external plant deck area and upgrading of incoming services and external works.

During the course of the project the Client instructed a number of additional works and variations causing the programme to extend, with store opening dates set in stone we mitigated this by closely co-ordinating our remaining works with the retail fit-out contractors to ensure all units were available in time for store opening for Christmas 2014.

Through consistent financial reporting, communication and efficiency the project completed with a Final Account figure of approx. £1,000,000 and well within our Clients Provisional Sum allowance for additional works. Our above methodology therefore provided our Client with the desired works in budget, on time and Client satisfaction throughout.
