
The site, known as ‘1-2 Cwmbach’ comprises of a pair of semi-detached industrial / warehouse building within the Industrial Estate. It is situated adjacent the junction of A4059 with Canal Road in Cwmbach near Aberdare. The original building was fire damaged and subsequently removed in 2021. In 2023, Encon began work to the reinstatement of the building, matching the existing footprint but to the current specification required by building regulations etc.
After the fire investigations, came the asbestos removal and site clearance. Then investigations into a hidden underground culvert and at least 8 months of SAB and planning. They are now rebuilt and ready for the next chapter.
