Super week delivering our Build Back Employability Training Programme in collaboration with Employability Bridgend, as part of our Bridgend County Borough Council Porthcawl Metro-Link project.
During the week long programme, we worked with 13 participants that benefited from CV and interview skills to confidence building, had the opportunity to complete their CITB Level 1 HS&E and CSCS qualification to gain a green operative’s card, and had a site visit at the Porthcawl Metro Link to gain a further insight into the industry. We also offered participants support to find employment and further training in the construction industry, through recruitment and apprenticeship pathways.
A big thank you to Employability Bridgend, Barry Training Services, Acorn by Synergie, Kath Foot Career Coach and Trainer, and Y Prentis for all of your support throughout the week. Special mention also to the Porthcawl Civil Engineering team for supporting the programme, and Adeel Hasan for organising and putting together such a comprehensive and collaborative employment programme.
