The project was for the Design and Construction of a Civic Amenity Waste Site, including the demolition and site clearance of the existing facility. Prior to commencement of the works an ecology survey revealed the presence of slow-worms and an ecologist was employed for controlled removal.
Following commencement site clearance and demolition were completed and Encon installed reinforced concrete retaining walls, reinforced concrete compactor slabs, new road infrastructure incorporating a gyratory system, storm and foul water drainage, new control building, mechanical and electrical works and the upgrade of the entrance and exit on the adopted highway.
