As part of Encon’s commitment to leaving a positive legacy through our South Gloucestershire Council’s SGS Pegasus School Expansion project, we are proud to support Coniston Community Centre that provide a welcoming, dynamic and supportive environment to the communities of Patchway and the surrounding areas. Led by Trustee’s Lucy Hamid and Keith Walker, we received a guided tour of their facilities and learned firsthand about the great community activities that are being held at the centre.
Encon has donated towards the cost of the Coniston Café which is a community meeting place where locals can enjoy good food at low prices. All profits from the café go directly back into their charity work, so they can enjoy good food at the same time as raising money to benefit the local community. The café is also home to the ‘Community Fridge’ where they have supplied food to those in need of a little extra help for over 3 years! Coniston Café hates to see things go to waste and they know how tough it can be in these difficult times and strive to make sure no family gets left behind.
This project was procured through the Procure Partnerships Framework. Established to support public sector bodies to procure quality contractor partners, the Procure Partnerships Framework pushes the boundaries of how procurement can support public sector bodies to deliver their strategic targets.
